This 1920s home (the blue one in the photos) will be coming to market around August 1. We will probably be asking +/- $375K
At any rate, it’s really awesome central austin real estate. The location so close to UT, restaurants and shops. The architecture, windows and huge-ass basement all add up to one cool home. The photos below show you what’s within three blocks of the home (my idea of an easy walk).
The main house is a nice 2/1 with an updated kitchen, lots of windows, wooden floors and old-school architectural touches from real craftsmen. Below is the largest basement I have ever seen in Austin (and I’ve seen four in the last 18 years). It’s probably 300-400 square feet, with a nice concrete floor and a full bath. It’s a great room for anything.
The basement is currently being used as a music room, but other uses are play-room (remember, I’m a dad), office, workshop, exercise room, man cave, etc.
Also, the home has opportunity for further development. It backs up to an alley and is on a corner – perfect for building a guest cottage with a garage, and giving the guests their own entrance.
If you or someone you know wants to see this house before it hits the market, give me a few days notice and I’ll make it happen.
