Clarksville (zip code 78703) –  1 minute to downtown Austin

Clarksville is as Central Austin as they come, while pretty much being part of downtown. Those lucky enough to live here tend to “move up” in the neighborhood. Sellers usually leave only if they are leaving Austin altogether.

The neighborhood is situated between downtown, Old Enfield and Pemberton Heights. Throughout Clarksville, you’ll see a mix of the original  2/1s and homes that have been extensively renovated or added on to.

The neighborhood has an eclectic feel that many enjoy. Not too long ago, when Austin was a smaller, more affordable town, Clarksville was a favorite neighborhood of musicians who coveted easy access to playing the 6th Street scene. To this day, you can see the creative influence this has had on the neighborhood.

Jeffrey’s – Super nice restaurant, so make reservations.

Nau’s Drug Store - You’ve got to try the float! It’s totally old school.

Zocolo - Colorful Tex-Mex cuisine.

Cipollina - Mediterranean food; ranges from casual to sort of upscale.
